Traci Bautista Weekend

We are thrilled beyond words that Traci is coming to hang with us at A Work of Heart and share her amazing creativity and talent with us!! Over the weekend she will teach five wonderful classes!! Each of the classes is listed below. You may register for individual classes or you can register for them all and receive a BONUS BAG that will be filled with supplies that you need for class and some extra goodies. The BONUS BAG will be worth over $50
The full package rate is $395 this includes all the classes as well as a BONUS BAG….here is what the “Bonus Bag” includes for those of you who sign up for all 5 classes:

Friday (11.22.08) - 6pm - 10:00pm - $85
This is fun and inspirational creativity workshop. Traci will share her tips about brainstorming, idea/inspiration boards, her art process, digital manipulation, photocopy tricks and design. Discover interesting ways to extend your artwork in this idea-generating workshop. You will do fun, creative exercises including doodle maps, idea lists, word collage, color cutouts that will get you thinking about your art in new ways.

Collage Pauge Play Party - Saturday (11.23.08) - 10:00am - 12:00pm - $40
The Play Party will be a 2-hour event with a creativity talk, DEMO, make-it/Take-it and Q&A. All supplies included– paper, tacky glue, embellishments, Collage Pauge, tape and tools. Traci will demo techniques using Collage Pauge and creating paper cones. Also, customers that attend the Play Party will have the chance to enter a drawing for a Collage Pauge goodie bag. |

Saturday (11.23.08)- 1:00pm - 5:00pm - $85
Drizzle…scrape…stencil..stamp…Experiment with printmaking techniques on an acrylic sheet. Through various painting jumpstarts, learn about color scraping, washing, monotype, eyedropper doodles, gesso textures, dyed cloth stamping & stenciling and glazing. This is a process workshop for painting colorful backgrounds.

Saturday (11.22.08)- 6:00pm - 9:00pm - $70
Through a series of creative jumpstarts you will play with various writing tools to doodle and make a personal “tag” of symbols, letters and patterns. Make your mark with scribbles, doodles and scratches to create layers of abstract lines. Explore a mixture of graffiti lettering, typography mixed with freestyle calligraphy.

Sunday (11.23.08) - 11:00am - 6:00pm (1-hr potluck lunch) - $115 (if you register for this class you should also register for the monotypes & drizzles or doodles & letters to make sure you have enough pages for your book)
Design a one-of-a-kind art journal with painted canvas covers that explodes with a fluffy fiber binding embellished with crochet stitched bits, chunky vintage bead and baubles. The book signatures are created with random-sized painted and dyed found papers.(the pages you make in monotypes & drizzles AND doodles & letters or provide your own) To see detailed pictures click here.
