Creative Consulting Inc. dba A Work of Heart (“A Work of Heart” or “We”) is committed to protecting its users’ privacy. This privacy policy (the “Privacy Policy”) discloses the privacy practices of this website (the “Site”). By visiting, signing up for an A Work of Heart class, or placing an order on the Site, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not wish to be bound by this Privacy Policy, please do not visit this site, sign up for a class, or make a purchase. 

WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?
When you subscribe to the A Work of Heart newsletter or place an order on the Site, we collect the personally identifiable information (“PII”) you give us such as your name, shipping address, email address. We do not collect your credit card number as all transactions are processed by Paypal.

When you browse our Site, we also automatically receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address in order to provide us with information that helps us learn about your browser and operating system. 

WHAT DO WE DO WITH YOUR INFORMATION?
We use your PII to give you the best possible customer experience. We only collect PII that is relevant to achieve this purpose. We will not share your PII with third parties, except as outlined in this privacy policy. Email addresses are used to contact customers about their class or order and to announce new classes, product releases and updates about our studio and store. In addition, when you respond to a contest, survey, questionnaire or other promotional feature, we may ask you for your name, address and email address or other Personal Information. We do not collect any Personal Information about you unless it is voluntarily provided by you. A Work of Heart will never sell, rent or share your Personal Information, including your e-mail address, with any third parties for marketing purposes without your express permission, ever. 

We use Personal Information to: 

  • Register you for a class or workshop in the studio
  • Notify you of the status of your registration
  • Contact you regarding your order
  • Bill you
  • Identify and authenticate you
  • Email marketing. By subscribing to our service or purchasing a product on this Site, you give us your permission to send you emails about our service, new products and other updates. 

NON-PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION
In addition, we may also collect non-personally identifiable information, such as IP host address, pages viewed, browser type, duration and frequency of visits, and other data, and may aggregate any information collected in a manner which does not identify any individual ("Aggregate Information"). Information obtained in connection with the Site may be intermingled with and used by us in conjunction with information obtained through sources other than the Site including both offline and online sources.

HOW WE USE THIS INFORMATION
We use this information to provide a more robust and convenient service to our customers and web visitors. For example to investigate credit card fraud we will provide the IP of the order to our credit card processor to assist with the situation. We will not share or disclose your non personal information to anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.

ENHANCED AND PERSONALIZED SHOPPING EXPERIENCE
We use Personal Information in order to give you a more convenient experience and to help us identify and/or provide information, products or services that may be of interest to you. We use your Personal Information to support and enhance your use of the Site including without limitation: fulfilling your order; providing customer service; and otherwise supporting your use of the Site. We may also track your past purchases to provide you with a personalized profile of your purchase history. In addition, we may notify you about new classes or services or special promotional programs, or send you offers or information.

We are committed to protecting the information we receive from you. However, A Work of Heart will not be liable for disclosures of your Personal Information due to errors in transmission or unauthorized acts of third parties. We have undertaken commercially reasonable efforts to prevent unauthorized Internet access to visitor data retained in our servers, however, due to the inherent open nature of the Internet, A Work of Heart cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us or any information provided online, and you do so at your own risk. Users must accept all risks associated with any data transmission, including the risk that their Personal Information may be intercepted in transit. The Site encrypts your credit card number and other Personal Information using secure socket layer (SSL) technology to provide for the secure transmission of the information from your PC to our credit card processor. In addition, only those employees and third parties who need access to you information in order to perform their duties are allowed such access. 
 
CONSENT
If we ask for your personal information for a secondary reason, like marketing, we will either ask you directly for your express consent, or provide you with an opportunity to say no. A Work of Heart will never share, sell or rent your personal information to any third parties for marketing purposes unless you give us your express consent.

CHILDRENS PRIVACY
This Site does not target or collect information on children under the age of 13. Please do not use this Site if you are under the age of 13. 

SURVEYS AND CONTESTS
From time-to-time our Site requests information via surveys or contests. Participation in these surveys or contests is completely voluntary and you may choose whether or not to participate and therefore disclose this information.
