Practice techniques to fill your pages with layers, colors, texture, words, imagery, etc. In this session we focus on starting warm vs. starting cool and the outcome of each spread.

Layering is the focus of this workshop.  We start two spreads differently using a variety of techniques differently each time and adjusting the order of operation we end up with two distinctly different looks.

Featuring different mediums to use on a black background, I guide you through radial pattern drawings (mandalas) We use gelly roll pens, posca paint markers, colored pencils & gouache with resist.

This workshop features the following: Japanese Stab Binding, Long Stitch and a modified Pamphlet Stitch. You will finish class with 3 books ready to use, totally customizable with your selected paper(s).

Add layers of acrylic paint and marks to a prepared canvas pouch.  This is a lesson in mark making that can be done on any surface.  We will finish the session with image transfer.

Create your own stash of collage papers or source them from easily accessible places.  This workshop walks you through creating your stash, cutting shapes and creating a pleasing composition.

Learn how to "draw your letters" as you take your own writing (no matter how you feel about it) and turn your letters into art.  You will be able to design for cards or art journal pages by the end of this session.

Make a personal mark on your artwork. You will learn how to cut and form your own unique mark making tools from simple and easy to find materials. Minimal specialized tools are needed for maximum impact.
