Create your own journal from bits and pieces. Scrap papers, envelopes, unfinished pieces of artwork, greeting cards, scrapbook paper, watercolor paper, you name it...this is the journal for you to use it all up.
Practice techniques to fill your pages with layers, colors, texture, words, imagery, etc. In this session we focus on starting warm vs. starting cool and the outcome of each spread.
Layering is the focus of this workshop. We start two spreads differently using a variety of techniques differently each time and adjusting the order of operation we end up with two distinctly different looks.
Learn several techniques to fill your pages with layers, colors, texture, words, imagery, etc. We finish with a reductive painting process and a mini lesson in adding hand lettering to your finished work.
This workshop features the following: Japanese Stab Binding, Long Stitch and a modified Pamphlet Stitch. You will finish class with 3 books ready to use, totally customizable with your selected paper(s).
