Book Binding 101

This workshop features 3 binding techniques. You will finish class with 3 mini books ready for your own use or gifting.

The stitches covered are 1) Long Stitch, 2) Japanese Stab 3) Pamphlet Stitch Binding 

The objective of this workshop is to arm you with 3 methods of creating books with different binding styles depending on what type and how much paper you wish to include.

Supplies:

• Paper (printer paper, watercolor paper, scrapbook paper..whatever you desire)
• Chipboard or book board
• Awl
• Bone Folder
• Binding needle
• Waxed linen cord
• Paper cutter or scissors
• Sticky back canvas or gaffers tape (or paper can be used with double stick tape)
• Glue Stick
• Metal Edge Ruler
