Carriers of the Light with Romi & Andrea

We are all drawn to the light.  There is something mesmerizing about watching a candle flicker or a campfire dance.

In this workshop we are taking the theme of "Light" in both literal and figurative terms as we guide you through several lessons that integrate with one another and yet stand alone beautifully.

  • This Zentangle & Mixed Media workshop will find you hands on working with materials like copper, vellum, watercolor, colored pencils and canvas just to name a few.

  • Your registration fee secures your specially curated supply kit that will be mailed to you in plenty of time to participate.  You will need minimal additional tools/supplies (most likely household items)

  • The agenda will volley between Romi and Andrea as they interweave their teaching to guide you through creating a finished piece that is not only beautiful but multi-functional.  You are sure to treasure it for seasons to come.

  • Some Zentangle familiarity and comfort with colored pencils is recommended for best results.

At this time shipping can only be ensured for US residents.  Contact us if you are in Canada and we can give you an additional shipping estimate.

Registration closes September 21 to ensure kits will arrive in time.

Instructor Info

Andrea Chebeleu

Andrea Chebeleu is the artist and entrepreneur behind A Work of Heart Studio.  A creative innovator from a very young age, Andrea enjoys a challenge and most of all figuring out how to make art with what’s on hand.  As an art instructor, her greatest joy comes from leading students through a process that, on the surface, looks complex but is achieved in simple steps.  Andrea's students appreciate her knowledge of materials, techniques and "try it and see what happens" attitude.  Creativity comes from trying and retrying.  Andrea takes the fear of trying in her approach of "first, not only."  While it may be the first time you’ve tried this, it’s not your only time.  Students are empowered to freely and playfully experiment without expectations.

Romi Marks

Romi Marks has been practicing Zentangle for nearly 7 years but has had a relationship with creativity her entire life. It is her belief that Zentangle has given her work focus and direction. She has been practicing gentle yoga for nearly 20 years and learned about Zentangle from her yoga teacher.  While Romi’s methods are untraditional with the use of color,  the journey and the destination are still the same. A deep sense of relaxation and gratitude for the creative process. She received her certification CZT18 and has been teaching ever since. It is her desire to guide her students to a place of well-being and inspiration.
